Blog Archive Friday Factoid Hit the Slopes atâ¦Kellogg When you think âskiing,â you probably think of the Alps or the Rockies rather than Evanston, Illinois, home to Northwestern Universityâs Kellogg School of Management. Kellogg students may not do their skiing in Evanston proper, but a remarkable 750 or more first and second years participate in the schoolâs annual ski trip, which, according to students we interviewed, âremains the biggest of its kind. Like everything else at Kellogg, the trip is student run ⦠from logistics to marketing to sponsorship. ⦠First- and second-year students work together to make it an unforgettable weeklong adventure.â Participating students have traveled to such locations as Steamboat Resort and Telluride, in Colorado, where students stayed in mountainside condos. Those who wish to ski can avail themselves of three-, four-, or even five-day passes, while nonskiers can enjoy activities such as cooking classes, snowshoe lessons, and spa treatments (at reduced prices). The evenings feature th eme parties, such as an annual â80s party. A first year with whom we spoke expressed how impressed she was with Kelloggâs ski club for âplanning the best week of business school for 800 people!â She added that Ski Trip is simply not to be missed: âItâs all of your closest friends, taking over a ski town for one full week with amazing parties and social activitiesâ"many of which are sponsored!â For a thorough exploration of what Kellogg and 15 other top business schools have to offer, please check out the mbaMission Insiderâs Guides.
